Maybe you don’t take your obsession as far as we do, but obviously you (or someone you know — we’ve got some mighty fine tee shirt gifts in our tee shirt shop) love tee shirts or you wouldn’t be here right now reading this, would you?
Now what good is blowing a small fortune on awesome graphic tee shirts, if you don’t take care of them properly? No worries, we’ve got you covered with this handy-dandy guide.
Step 1. Wash your graphic tee shirts inside out.
Seriously. Turn it inside out before you toss that tee in the wash. You’ll thank us months from now when that graphic is still looking good as new. Inside your washing machine as it’s running, your clothes are getting REAL close and rubbin’ all up on each other. While that might seem like a fun time, that level of friction is seriously a bad thing for printed shirt graphics.
Step 2. Wash your tee shirts in cold water.
Not only does it take less energy to wash your tee shirts in cold water, it’s also great for maximizing the life of your shirts. Cold water will do just a good a job as hot water at keeping your garments clean, and it’s way gentler on the fabric. Not to mention that it reduces that chances of your shirts shrinking. And let’s face it, a shrunken shirt does not look good on anyone.
Step 3. Don’t iron your graphic tee shirts!
If you’re worried about wrinkles, please PLEASE please do not iron your graphic tee shirts. The heat from the iron can do some real damage to a print. Totes not worth it.
